Project 2, Student art show submission, the Nekked Jug
My proposal for this project is a Nekked Jug. It will be small, cream pitcher with a woman's face for the spout, and a nude female body for the handle. The cream will pour out the open mouth of the face.

What is Sculpture?
Defining art is problematic as all art is subjective to one's own point of view.
As a Noun: Sculpture is a work of three dimensional art.
As a Verb: Sculpture is the act of creating a 3d work of art, to sculpt an object out of real, tangible material.
Common materials used are stone, clay, wood, metal or plastic; but
sculpture is not limited to these materials or even to a single material.

For example we have Degas 'Little Dancer'. it is cast in bronze an also has fabric and ribbon to enhance the form.
Sculpture is not limited to replicating a known form but can take on any form such as the abstract sculpture is the courtyard of Fluor Daniel Engineering Building at Clemson University.

Sculptures are these things and they are so much more.

Project #1 Modeling My Self Portrait in Clay
How to describe my head, or the making of it from clay? I intend to include all of it, my awesome goatee, my glasses, my pony tail and also my receding hair line. As to the expression I will have it is somewhat hard to say. I’m thinking of something to represent my working class background.
Something stoic, maybe with accessories, like goggles, and a dust mask, things I personally wear whilst crafting things of woods. The accessories might have to be separate pieces that can be glued on after they have been fired.
Pictures will come later after I have solidified my ideas somewhat.
