Hunting the, Perhaps, Not So Mythical Plains Walrus

When setting out to hunt a walrus of the plains

one first starts with camouflage so to better hide.

A bow and arrow work best, hand crafted or how ever obtained

then, disguised you sneak up on their left side

Care should be taken to avoid the tusks

for a terrible wound would ruin your hunt.

To stalk a plain’s walrus go out just about dusk

and listen for the distinctive snuffle and grunt.

Then get close to it by cautiously sneaking

Walk nice and slow, be sure to keep you disguise in place

you must hold perfectly still when the walrus is peeking

also, you should be ready to run if that’s the case

When it is all just right, take your shot

aiming just behind the left tusk

it’s the plains walrus’s only soft spot.
